Something New

Well... Hello everyone! Or no one.. Who knows if anyone will actually read this! But nevertheless,  I decided to start this blog because I really enjoy writing, but I never have a reason to write. Maybe this will become my reason. I really don't expect people to read this, because I am not extremely interesting. But, I have come a long way in my short life and if I can be encouraging or uplifting to one or two people, than I will find some joy out of this thing :) 

Speaking of joy, I chose the name "Today I Will Choose Joy" for my blog because I have learned that in this life, joy is a choice. Happiness, sadness, bitterness, etc... they're all choices. It's taken me some angry, sad, and bitter days to figure that out, but my life is so blessed and I've come so far that I now know there is no other choice but JOY! I can't say that I don't have days where I choose the negative instead of the positive just because I want to feel sorry for myself and wallow in a little bit of self-pity, but I'm only human. I'm making an effort to be better in all aspects of my life, and I will share my stories with anyone who wants to listen. I hope to become better at this blogging thing and to show you how choosing joy has affected my life in the best way.
